¿Qué es el schutzhund?
El termino "Schutzhund" es de origen alemán, y en español significa "perro de protección". Es una prueba de trabajo en la cual se evalúa, en general, la utilidad del perro. Este test (el Schutzhund) se diseño para evaluar específicamente al Pastor Alemán, que es la raza por excelencia en este deporte, pero hoy en día, en el Schutzhund, puede participar cualquier perro con raza o sin ella, obteniendo muy buenas puntuaciones.
Con el Schutzhund, logramos demostrar que el perro que participa es inteligente, que tiene coraje, resistencia, voluntad, capacidad de rastreo y estabilidad mental.
Niveles:
Existen 3 niveles, que conducen a tres titulo:
- SchH1: nivel inicial.
- SchH2, nivel medio.
- SchH3: nivel avanzado.
El Schutzhund se divide en tres fases:
1ª Rastreo:
En esta fase, se pone a prueba el olfato del perro y su adiestrabilidad.
Una persona trazará una pista (en arena o hierba) y dejará objetos en ella. El perro seguido del guía tendrá que olfatear y encontrar los objetos, e indicar la ubicación de estos.
Incluye un pre-test de temperamento para asegurar la estabilidad mental del perro.
Hay 3 niveles, en el primero el rastro es trazado por su guía, y en los otros dos son trazados por personas ajenas.
2ª Obediencia:
Aquí, se pone a prueba el temperamento del animal, el rendimiento y la voluntad.
Se realizan varios ejercicios, los cuales incluyen:
- Ordenes básicas ("junto", "ven aquí", "siéntate", "échate" y "quieto") con y/o sin correa.
- Durante el ejercicio de "junto" el guía realizará un recorrido que el juez evaluará. Además, se efectuaran dos disparos, y el perro deberá de actuar con normalidad.
- Caminar a través de un grupo de personas.
- Sentarse sobre la marcha: mientras se realiza el ejercicio "junto", se le ordenará al perro que se siente y este permanecerá así, mientras que el guía se aleja del perro 30 pasos, espera unos 3 segundos, y vuelve hacia donde estaba el perro, este queda quieto hasta que el guía llegue y le vuelva a ordenar que le siga.
- Tumbarse sobre la marcha.
- Pruebas de carácter: el perro está tranquilo junto a su guía, mientras pasa cerca suya una persona corriendo, a continuación otra en bicicleta, una persona se acerca y le estrecha la mano al guía, otra lo saluda desde un coche mientras arranca el motor y le da la mano, etc.
- Recobrar objetos.
- El perro queda solo, atado a algún poste, barandilla, y tiene que inmutarse cuando otro perro pasa por su lado.
- Etc.
3ª Protección:
La fase de protección pone a prueba el coraje del perro y el estado físico: agilidad, fortaleza, etc.
El guía debe de tener, totalmente, el control del perro.
El perro buscará a una persona (señuelo, es el "delincuente", figurante), que estará oculta en los "escondites".
Una vez encontrada el perro indicará que lo ha encontrado, pero no le morderá si ésta no intenta nada contra
el perro o su guía. El guía llegará al lugar donde está el perro y le ordenará que vuelva a su lado.
El perro nunca tiene que perder de vista al "delincuente". En el caso de que este intentara escapar o atacar al guía,
el perro se abalanzará sobre él y morderá firmemente, sin vacilación, la manga de protección.
Una vez que el "figurante" se quede quieto y el guía le ordene al perro que lo suelte, este lo ha de hacer a la primera
vez que se lo diga, de lo contrario perderá puntos, y lo intimidará con sus ladridos, hasta que el guía
le ordene que vuelva a su lado, el guía "cacheará" al figurante y le quitará la supuesta arma.
En esta fase hay varias pruebas:
- El figurante hecha a correr, una vez que lleve unos cuantos metros de distancia, se suelta al perro que saldrá tras él y lo detendrá mordiéndole la manga de protección, y lo soltará cuando el "figurante" quede quieto. Pero sigue intimidándolo hasta que llegue el guía.
- El "delincuente" camina delante del guía y del perro dándoles la espalda, entonces es cuando este se revuelve e intenta arremeter contra el guía, al perro se le pilla desprevenido (así podemos ver su capacidad de reacción), nada más revolverse el "delincuente" el perro se engancha a la manga de protección.
- El "figurante" se dirige hacia el perro intimidándolo con un palo o vara, este no debe acobardarse y se abalanza hacia el "figurante".
- Etc.
Puntos:
Total: 300 puntos.
Rastreo:
Máxima puntuación: 100 puntos.
Se necesita obtener 70 puntos para aprobar.
Obediencia:
Máxima puntuación: 100 puntos.
Se necesita obtener 70 puntos para aprobar.
Protección:
Máxima puntuación: 100 puntos.
Se necesita obtener 80 puntos para aprobar.
Si el perro no obtiene la puntuación mínima o fracasa en la pre-prueba del test de temperamento, no se le otorgará el titulo y deberá pasar, nuevamente, todas las pruebas de las distintas fases.
